Christmas Tree Farm creates a Natural Reserve in Brazil

This forest reserve was originated within a traditional ‘’Tree-farm" - (138 Hectars-355 Acres), named “Fazenda Castanheiras’’, located 33 Kms from downtown São Paulo, the world second-largest-city - 20 million population - altitude 780 meters above sea level.

During 55 years William Hering (now semi-retired), has grown Christmas Trees on this property, particularly the "China-fir" (Cunninghamia Lanceolata ), the most “exclusive” Christmas tree then available in Brazil.

Mr. Hans W. Hering, his father, since 1930 was the Maytag washing machines distributor for Brazil. He restored a forest in the outskirts of S. Paulo. That idea originated this Christmas Tree Farm.
